The horizontal arm size relates to how far the deeper will be positioned from the back or front of the boat from where the mount is stuck on.
The Vertical slide length is from the top of the horizontal arm to the top of the deeper, the arm is supplied with 2 orings that can be used to control the max depth of the deeper.
